About
I am a native of Huntsville, Alabama. My husband, Scott, and I have been married thirty years and have four daughters. Our third daughter, Sarah, was killed in church bus crash while traveling to Botswana on a mission trip in 2017.
As a bereaved mom, former nurse, and chaplain, I intimately understand grief and suffering and the many complex emotions and struggles that accompany them. Through my family’s suffering, a passion was birthed for caring for hurting and grieving people. I long for others to find and know the comfort, peace, and hope that have sustained me in my suffering—the sure and certain hope freely available in Jesus Christ.
“For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for [our] adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he [already] sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.”
